Mahad al-Zahra has been established in order to provide education of recitation in accordance with the laws of tajweed, to facilitate the memorization of the Quran al-Majid and to offer a means of study of its knowledge. It is also responsible for providing education regarding contemporary fields of knowledge and languages so as to highlight the all-encompassing nature of the Quran al-Majeed and the greatness of Islam.

In a ziyafat following Ashara Mubarak 1422H, Moula RA addresses members of the Houston jamaat: “May children memorize the Quran al-Majeed here, may they sit and slowly finish the whole Quran al-Majeed here!”
The beginnings of American Tehfeez: 4 years after al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA instructed that Quran should be studied here, two khidmat guzaar came from Mahad-Al-Zahra Surat to conduct the Sherullah Hifz Program in Houston
2 years later, Mahad-Al-Zahra organized a summer camp for hifz in Houston, which was attended by 20+ people. From then on, every year a summer camp would be conducted in various cities throughout the US and Canada.
Shezadah Husain B.S. Burhanuddin DM conducts the first ever Taiseer fil Hifz al-Quran seminar in Chicago, Illinois. This is followed by 2 additional seminars in Houston and New Jersey.
Live tasmee programs start in Houston, and other cities across the US, students come to masjid and recite Quran al-Majeed to teachers in person.
The flagship program of Mahad USA opens its doors to a class of 7 young students from different cities all over the US, with accommodation in Nuzul al-Barakah.
After 4 years, the founding class of Nisaab graduates, with a 90% success rate. The student body is now 35, with 15+ faculty members.
The first dikrio program launches in the US, welcoming 7 girls to Houston for hifz al-quran and the same curriculum as Nisaab.
The brand-new Fakhri Makaan is inaugurated, housing 60 students in a state of the art facility directly across from Masjid-e-Mohammedi.
Being an avid student of Quranic arts and sciences, he graduated from Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah with the degree of Al-Faqih Al-Jayyid (Masters in Islamic Jurisprudence).
